New book from author of Moloka'i coming soon

So after my review of Moloka'i the other day, the author, Alan Brennert contacted me (OK, I contacted him first, but, hey, he wrote me back ;o)) and told me his new book, Hololulu is coming out in March 2009! Here's what he said about it:

I'm happy to say that your message does not find me hard at work on my next novel, it finds me done with my next novel! It's called Honolulu and is about a young Korean woman who comes to Honolulu in 1914 as a picture bride; it's told more from an immigrant's perspective and deals with Hawai'i's unique multicultural society. St. Martin's Press will publish it in March of 2009. I'm attaching a jpeg of the gorgeous cover my publisher came up with -- it's even more striking, I think, than the one for Moloka'i.

I think he's right about the cover ;o). And I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of Honolulu.

That really is a gorgeous cover, and the premise of the books sounds really interesting!
