What's it all about? Stephanie Plum, Trenton's bounty hunter extraordinaire, needs to find Martin Munch so she can cash in his body receipt and pay her rent. One of the many problems in this plan is that Munch's research has caught the attention of extra-spooky-bad-guy Wulf Grimoire. Morelli can't help her out this time, his brother Anthony has been kicked out of his house and shot in the rump and is busy driving Joe directly to the nut house. So, in pops Diesel who needs to stop Wulf just as much as Stephanie needs to bag Munch. Throw in the standard wacky slate of characters plus a monkey named Carl, the Easter Bunny, a fire farter, and the Jersey Devil, and what you have is a laugh-out-loud romp through the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
Random thoughts: As always, the Plum books are fun, fast, enjoyable reads. Just what I needed to dispel the gloom of The Road ;o).

- The photo below was taken outside of one of Tampa's Barnes & Noble bookstores. The writers group I belong to was asked to help out with crowd control (and to hand out those nifty purple and white balloons) during Ms. Evanovich's Plum Spooky tour. There were at least 600 people there. It was a really fun night. Ms. Evanovich was very nice and stayed well past closing time to make sure that everyone had all of their books signed before she left. There are more pictures of the event on her website.
Recommended for: anyone who is looking for a funny, fluffy, quick read. This series is highly entertaining.

LOLOLOL @ Your rating. I notice the bud off of one. I don't know why that stuck me as funny, but it did. I need to catch up on the Plum series!
That's how I do half "stars," or, in my case, half roses ;o). My husband finds them funny, too. He especially likes my 0 roses rating (it's just a stem). I don't use that one very often, though.
Now if I had seen a stem, I would have fallen right out of the computer chair from laughter! Love it!!
