Reviews: In Death series by J. D. Robb

Another series I'm working my way through is the "in Death" series by J. D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts). I'm up to book #13 of 37 (if you count all the novellas).

Book #11 of this series in Witness in Death. In this book, New York police detective Eve Dallas attends opening night for a play in her husband Roarke's New Globe Theater. As she (and several hundred other people) watches the action on stage, it becomes clear that the leading man's murder isn't just theatrics, it's real. Now she just needs to figure out which of the actors on stage are innocent and which are just really good actors. As with all the "in Death" books, I enjoyed this one. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good.
  very good

The next book in the series, #12, was Judgement in Death. So far, this book is one of my favorites in the series. The mystery wasn't anything exceptional--a series of cop killings--but the emotion in this book, between Eve and Roarke and between Eve and the bad guy makes it stand out for me.
  Excellent

I'm always so excited to see someone announce a specific In Death book--Judgement In Death in your case-- that I haven't read yet as their favorite. It gives me something to look forward to! I'm going to be picking up Conspiracy In Death probably next week for April's challenge. I'm looking forward to it.
