Random Thoughts: Creepy. As the boys degenerate into barbarians I knew where the book was headed, but I still couldn’t stop reading it. It was like watching a train wreck. I can’t say I enjoyed Lord of the Flies, but I’m glad I finally got around to reading it. However, I won’t be reading it again.

I had to read this in high school. Definitely a very unsettling book.
I somehow missed it in high school ;o). Unsettling is a good word for it. Not destined to be my favorite book, but I'm not sorry I read it.
I missed it in high school too and recently bought it... It's one of those that I don't particularly want to read, but think I should...
I remember reading this one when I was a teen and really loving it for the creepiness. Now that I am older and the world is creepy enough I don't know if it would have the same impact.
