The last challenge I’m joining in 2007 is the Book around the States Challenge hosted by Bonnie. The idea is to read 50 books for 50 states — plus 1 for DC. I’m always happy when an author uses the setting for their story almost as another character. In other words, the story depends on the setting and could not have been set anywhere else and still worked. Those are the types of books I’m looking for in this challenge. I’ll add books to the sidebar beside the state abbreviation as I read them. I may add more than one book to a state if I feel they both enhance the knowledge of that state. I may also replace a book if I find another book depicts the state better. There is no time limit for this challenge.
Now I’m off to work on lists for 2008 challenges!
